Alba Looks To BC For "The Eye"

Actress Jessica "Fantastic Four" Alba recently worked in New Mexico with directors David Moreau and Xavier Palud on their English-language remake of the Pang Brothers' feature "The Eye."

Now Vancouver is the setting for a 2-week re-shoot of the film, with Patrick "Dracula 2000" in the director's chair.

Premise of the film follows Alba as a blind violinist who gains extraordinary vision after an experimental surgery restores her sight .

"The Eye" will be ready for release February 1, 2008.

Savini Has A Stake In "Lost Boys: The Tribe"

In September, SFX makeup master Tom Savini is set to appear in "Lost Boys: The Tribe", the currently shooting, Vancouver-lensed sequel to the 1987, Joel Schumaker-directed feature "The Lost Boys".

Savini will play a surfer who runs into vampires at the beginning of the film.

Original "Lost Boys" actors Corey Feldman and Corey Haim also appear in the new film, reprising their roles as vampire slayers 'Edgar Frog' and Sam.
