USA Renews "Psych" TV Series


The USA Network has ordered up a third season of the Vancouver-lensed TV series "Psych".

The network has picked up an additional 16 episodes of the show, which revolves around a psychic cop, played by actor James Roday.

Dule Hill, Corbin Bernsen and Maggie Lawson also star.

"The series has been a critical and ratings sensation since it premiered last summer and continues to gain new viewers and grow its fan-base," said USA executive VP of original programming Jeff Wachtel.

Steve "Big Daddy" Franks executive produces "Psych" for Universal Media Studios and Tagline Pictures.

Vancouver International Digital Festival, Sept 22-25

This year's Vancouver International Digital Festival, running September 22 to the 25th, is for 'visionaries' from games and digital entertainment, Web 2.0, interactive design, animation and mobile applications.
