Vancouver-based CG animation house Rainmaker Entertainment is partnering with Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment Inc., and Brighton Partners to launch Stan Lee's Legion of 5 as a series of animated features, supported by print/electronic comics, games, merchandising, online/mobile releases.
Lee is noted for leading Marvel through the 1960's 'Silver Age' of comic books, featuring 'super-heroes with super-problems' including The Amazing Spider-Man and The Uncanny X-Men.
POW! Entertainment also recently struck a deal with Walt Disney Pictures for a number of live-action projects including Nick Ratchet, written/directed by Richard LaGravenese, with Larry Jacobson/Sonny Grosso (Toronto's Night Heat) producing; Blaze written by Gary Goldman; and Tigress written by Zoe Green, with State Street Pictures' Robert Teitel and George Tillman producing...
