Actor Tom Kenny, the voice of cartoon character "SpongeBob Squarepants", will host the 3rd Annual ELAN Awards, March 21 in Vancouver.
"This show's sure to be a riot," said Holly Carinci, founder/producer of the ELANS, the annual Vancouver-based live event, awarding the talent behind video games, animation and visual effects.
"Tom will make our guests remember that what they do for a living is entertain people, at a time they most need to be entertained, and that theirs is a talent that should be celebrated and awarded."
Seth "Family Guy" MacFarlane was the Host for last year's ELAN Awards, following in the footsteps of William 'Captain Kirk' Shatner, the award show's inaugural Host.
"Since my kids are far too busy playing video games to talk to me anymore, I'm looking forward to the social interaction of the ELAN Awards," said Kenny.
The ELANS have made changes to their production this year, re-scheduling the event date as well as changing the venue from an auditorium to an intimate dinner show.
This year's Elan Awards start Saturday, March 21, with a red carpet, followed by a Champagne Reception w/canapés, a gourmet meal, a world-class show and an After-Party for all ELAN Award Nominees, Winners and Guests.
Event Partners include Activision Publishing, Inc., the Seven Group, Radical Entertainment, Relic Entertainment, Offload Studios, IGN, Opus Hotel, Blue Arc, Hitachi, sgi, SPINVFX, David Kaye Productions and Buckley Dodds & Associates...
