The 20th Century Fox motion picture is inspired by the backstory of the 1963 novel "Planet of the Apes" by author Pierre Boulle.
Directed by Rupert Wyatt, the feature is a reboot of the Fox "Planet Of The Apes" series that will act as a foundation origin story for a new movie franchise.
Premise of the new film is similar to the fourth film in the original series, "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes" (1972).
Cast includes James Franco, Freida Pinto, Andy Serkis, John Lithgow, Chelah Horsdal,Brian Cox, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo, Tyler Labine, David Hewlett and Jamie Harris.
