"Once Upon A Deadpool" - More New Footage

Take a look at new footage, plus images from "Once Upon A Deadpool", the 'family friendly' PG-13 cut of "Deadpool 2", with additional scenes, starring Ryan Reynolds, based on the Marvel Comics characters, opening December 12, 2018:

"...after successfully working as the mercenary 'Deadpool' for two years, 'Wade Wilson' fails to kill one of his targets on his anniversary with his girlfriend 'Vanessa'.

"That night, after the pair decide to start a family together, the target tracks Wilson down and kills Vanessa. Wilson kills the man in revenge.

"He blames himself for her death and attempts to commit suicide six weeks later by blowing himself up. Wilson has a vision of Vanessa in the afterlife, but the pieces of his body remain alive and are put back together by 'Colossus'.

"Wilson is left with only a Skee-Ball token, an anniversary gift, as a final memento of Vanessa..."

"We definitely shot new stuff," said co-writer Paul Wernick about the recut film. "And recently too.

"After 'Deadpool 2' came out and we were all sitting around, we came to it less about the idea of let's make a 'PG-13' movie and more, 'Let's talk a little bit about 'Deadpool'.

"We were kicking around some ideas and then I think it was Ryan who had the great framing device and we all got excited and went to the studio. They said, 'Yeah, let's do it. Fire up the cameras'."

"Fox has been asking for a 'PG-13' basically since the start in 2006," said Reynolds.
