Please be advised that THE TEEN COMMANDMENTSis not signatory to a UBCP/ACTRA or ACTRA collective agreement. Due to not being able to come to terms with the Producer, THE TEEN COMMANDMENTS is a non-union production.
It is a contravention of the UBCP/ACTRA by-laws and constitution for a union member to audition for, or work on, any non-union production in the recorded entertainment industry.
There are significant consequences for full members, apprentice members, and background members found to be auditioning for, or working on, a non-union production.
UBCP/ACTRA recognises the importance of student projects and independent productions in Canadian industry landscape. We work diligently to ensure students and members can successfully access union talent and gain exposure to union industry standards through the Ultra Low Budget programs.
We recognize and appreciate the many members and agents who stand in solidarity with UBCP/ACTRA, particularly by refusing to participate in this and other non-union productions. We will update you if there is a change in the status of this production.
