"Messages Deleted": Filming Notice...

Residents/merchants, in Vancouver's 'Gastown' district, received the following 'filming notice' from "Messages Deleted" Location Manager Costa Vassos:

"...based on the generally positive results of a poll conducted in your neighbourhood, the City of Vancouver has given Main Street Productions permission to film scenes for the feature film "Messages Deleted", late at night, on Wedneday, July 23, 2008 at and around 306 Abbott Street.

We thank you for supporting the BC film industry and our project.

Main Street Productions would like to provide some information that will help prepare for our arrival and anticipate how our presence may affect your daily routine. The following is an outline of our filming dates, times, locations and significant action:

Wednesday July 23, 2008
3:00 pm to 3:00 am: Filming at 306 Abbott St on the corner of Abbott & Cordova St.
-Work trucks will be parked in the Impark lot @ 50 W Cordova St.
-We will also be parking on the East side of 300 Abbott St from Cordova St to Hastings St

Wednesday July 23, 2008 and July 24, 2008
2:00 pm to 11:00 pm: Filming interior at 306 Abbott St.

-Filming will be inside the building @ 306 Abbott St. Exterior lighting from the side walk.
11:00 pm to 2:30 am July 23, 2008: Filming exterior at 306 Abbott St.
-Filming will be exterior @ 306 Abbott St. Exterior lighting from the side walk.
-Police car arrives at 306 Abbott St. For this scene we will be accompanied by Vancouver police, who will be intermittently restricting traffic in the area.
2:30 am to 3:00 am: Filming interior at 306 Abbott St.
Work trucks will be parked in the Impark lot @ 50 W Cordova St.

We will ensure any residents with special needs are accommodated promptly..."

Directed by producer Rob "Short Time" Cowan, starring Saskatchewan-based actor Michael "Smallville" Eklund, from a screenplay by writer Larry "Maniac Cop" Cohen, "Messages Deleted" is descibed as a 'thriller', focusing on a screenwriting teacher who is forced to live out the plot of a script idea he apparently stole from a student, who now seeks his 'revenge'...
