Vancouver-based producer/director Carl Laudan debuts his first Telefilm supported HD feature "Sheltered Life":

"...In the intense intimacy of a women’s shelter, privileged 16-year-old 'Josephine Nash' and her mother 'Candice' come to terms with the unspoken rules that govern their relationship.

When Jo's father 'David' forces his way in to take his wife and daughter home, both women watch in horror as the women of the shelter choke him to death.

Jo loses a father, Candice a husband. They are finally free of the violence that has plagued them. Or are they?

More snowfall warnings for Metro Vancouver continue to be posted by Environment Canada, with more than 15 to 25 cm of snow expected today and tonight.

An approaching pacific frontal system will bring snow to the British Columbia coast, with more snow expected to become mixed with rain over many localities.

Strong northeasterly winds combining with cold temperatures will give wind chill values below minus 20, today through Thursday.
