"The A-Team" is the Vancouver-lensed action feature based on "The A-Team" TV series.
To be released June 11, 2010, from 20th Century Fox, "The A-Team", directed by Joe "Narc" Carnahan, is produced by brothers Ridley and Tony Scott.
The new film keeps the same characters but updates the plot, shifting from Vietnam to the Middle East.
Both producer Jules Daly and series creator Stephen J. Cannell are involved in the new film, that is intended to be grittier than the TV series.
Cast stars Liam "Darkman" Neeson as 'Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, Bradley Cooper as 'Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck', Quinton Jackson as 'Sgt. B.A. "Bad Attitude" Baracus', Sharlto Copley as 'Capt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock', Jessica Biel as 'Lt. Carissa Sosa', Patrick Wilson as 'Lynch' and Gerald McRaney as 'General Morrison'.
Nostalgic cameos in the film include actor Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict who were in the original series.
