The Vancouver-lensed Fox TV series "Human Target", adapting the comic book series, will debut Sunday, Jan. 17.
The first episode "Pilot" is directed by Simon "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" West, written by Jonathan E. Steinberg, guest-starring Canadian actress Tricia "Battlestar Galactica" Helfer.In "Pilot", Chance is hired to protect the engineer of California's first bullet train as it makes its maiden voyage from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

"Human Target" stars Mark "Boston Legal" Valley as the DC Comics character, created in 1972, by writer Len Wein and illustrator Carmine Infantino, as detective/bodyguard 'Christopher Chance' who impersonates clients to eliminate threats, becoming the human target.
