Liam Neeson Is Hungry Like The Wolf

Actor Liam Neeson ("Darkman") is in talks to re-team with "A-Team" director Joe Carnahan for the 'survival drama' "The Grey", first reported by Sneak Peek in February, based on a screenplay by Carnahan and Ian Mackenzie Jeffers, who wrote the original short story.

Premise follows pipeline workers who survive in the Alaskan wild after a plane crash.

Neeson will play the leader of the group, that is systematically attacked by a pack of vicious 'gray wolves', social predators that live in nuclear families, feeding on prey, which they hunt by wearing them down in short chases.

Scott Free's Ridley and Tony Scott will produce the $34 million movie with Inferno Entertainment's Bill Johnson, RSA's Jules Daly and Carnahan. Executive producer is Jim Seibel.

Inferno has backed the film's $34 million budget, taking foreign distribution, with pre-sales in place for the UK, France, Australia, Latin America and Middle East.

Production will start in British Columbia, early 2011.
