The sixth annual Whistler Film Festival, presented by American Express, runs November 30 to December 3, 2006, with the official movie line-up available for publication, Tuesday, November 7.
This year's Fest plans to screen 80+ films, including debuts from North America’s top directors and present awards totalling over $40,000 in prizes/commissions.
This year's WFF will also feature the Whistler Filmmaker Forum, presented by Bell, complimented by pitchfests, parties and numerous 'special' events.
As Whistler is consistently ranked as the number one ski resort in North America, special ticket/accommodation/ski packages have been arranged by the Festival in association with participating hotels:
Adara Hotel, Coast Whistler Hotel, Crystal Lodge, Delta Whistler Village Suites, Executive Inn, Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Four Season Resort & Spa, Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa, Listel Hotel Whistler, Pan Pacific Hotels, ResortQuest Properties, Stoney Creek Resort Properties, Summit Lodge & Spa, Sundial Hotel, Tantalus Lodge, Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler Village Inn + Suites, and Wildflower Lodging
The Whistler Film Festival Society (WFFS), a non-profit education and cultural organization, operates the Whistler Film Festival and its programs.
