Thursday, November 30, at BC's Maurice Young Millennium Place, this year's Whistler Film Festival "DOC TALK" presents 'Pitch Fest West', a showcase for the western Canadian documentary and factual production community.
In an interactive setting, eight pre-selected western Canadian doc filmmakers will pitch projects to a round-table of Canadian and international broadcasters for feedback, market advice and potential partnership.
Potential participants will include major Canadian broadcasters, specialty networks and US/international broadcasters/distributors.
The following applicants have been selected to pitch:

"Futureproof"- Lightspeed Productions Ltd
"My American Exodus" - Paperny Films
"One Thousand and One Perfomances" - Northscape Productions
"Saving Seeds" - Insight Documentaries
"Sounds Like Motown" - Barbara Hagar/Aarrow Productions
"The Strait of Anian" - David Henningson/Urgent Service Film, Ltd.
The 6th annual Whistler Film Festival runs November 30 to December 3 and will screen over 80 films.
