Golden Globe nominee, actor Jon "Mad Men" Hamm stars opposite Keanu "The Matrix" Reeves and Jennifer "A Beautiful Mind" Connelly in the Fox sci-fi remake "The Day the Earth Stood Still", currently filming in Vancouver.
Hamm plays 'Dr. Granier', a NASA official who recruits 'Helen' (Connelly) for the scientific team investigating an alien's arrival on Earth.
Reeves plays 'Klaatu', the alien.
Scott "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" Derrickson directs the update based on Robert Wise's 1951 feature from a screenplay by David Scarpa, with Erwin Stoff and Paul Harris Boardman producing.
Principal photography started Dec. 12.
Production Designer is David "Drugstore Cowboy" Brisbin.
