The 'seduction of the innocent' continues as the Vancouver-lensed vampire/werewolf teen romance "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" sucked up record-breaking admissions from predominantly teenage girls, to pull in a total of $258.8 million worldwide in its first 3 days of release.

Debuting in 25 countries, "New Moon" is the sequel to the story of a school girl (Kristen Stewart) and a 'vampire' (Robert Pattinson), caught up in a love triangle with a buff 'werewolf' (Taylor Lautner).

According to reports, young females make up 80 per cent of the audience for the "Twilight" book series by author Stephenie Meyer.
