"In the next three episodes, Clark will have proposed," Peterson told TV Guide, with Souders confirming that there would be "wedding planning."
"With Lois Lane, that's a bit of a ride in and of itself," added Souders.
Regarding the 'Vigilante Registration Act', forcing super characters to reveal their 'secret identities', it will be one of the central reasons 'Martha Kent' (Annette O'Toole) returns to the series.
"When the world puts pressure on her son, Martha Kent is not one to shy away from the challenge," said Souders.
DC Comics superhero 'Aquaman' (Alan Ritchson) will also return to the series, encouraged by his new wife 'Mera'.
Also the character of 'Lionel Luthor' (John Glover), will return, set in an 'alternate universe'.
"This one (alternate universe) certainly has an impact in our real world," said Souders. "Without a doubt you shouldn't miss the very end of that episode because there's several great takeaways."
"It actually ties into the DC Universe," said Peterson.
"Relationships are definitely different there," added Souders. "I would say Lois is a very consistent person, universally. There's a really wonderful moment between her and Clark that sort of makes you believe in true love."
'Chloe' (Allison Mack) will also return after faking her death to protect 'Oliver' (Justin Hartley).
"Certainly the Chloe fans will have a lot to sink their teeth into," Souders said.
As for Clark Kent revealing his secret identity to the world, "We have shown all the pitfalls of coming out this year between Oliver and 'Supergirl' and the 'VRA'", said Peterson.
"It's really put pressure on Clark. You have to do it right, and you only can do it when you're ready."
