Actor Chris Wood has been cast to play a popular DC Comics superhero in The CW's Season 2 of "Supergirl":
Woods will play 'Mon-El', an alien from the planet 'Daxam', with super-powers similar to 'Supergirl'.
"...'Lar Gand' was an explorer from the planet 'Daxam' who sacrificed himself to save Earth.
"He came to be known as 'Mon-El', a member of the 'Justice League', a friend to 'Superman' in the modern era and is a member of the 'Legion of Superheroes' in the future..."
