"...when 'Mr. Mxyzptlk' (Peter Gadiot), a magical imp, shows up on Earth and declares his love for 'Kara' (Melissa Benoist), she tries to let him down easy, thinking him harmless.
"However, he decides it's a challenge and starts to wreak havoc on 'National City'. 'Mon-El' (Chris Wood) has seen beings like Mr. Mxyzptlk on 'Daxam'...
"...and knows how dangerous they can be. He and Kara argue over how to get rid of Mr. Mxyzptlk, further straining their relationship.
"Meanwhile, 'Alex' (Chyler Leigh) and 'Maggie' (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first 'Valentine's Day' together..."
'Mister Mxyzptlk' (pronounced 'mix-yez-pittle-ik'), is a fifth dimensional 'imp' that has plagued DC superheroes in comic books since 1944, appearing in animation and video games.
'Mxy' debuted in "Superman" #30 (September 1944), originally presented as an imp from the 'fifth dimension', not being bound by physical laws.
Mxyztplk had designs on conquering the planet, but soon settled on tormenting Superman, with his only weaknesses that he cannot stand being ridiculed and if he says or spells his name backwards, is involuntarily sent back to his home dimension.
Though easily one of the most powerful of DC's super-villains, Mxyzptlk is mainly a shit-disturbing prankster who prefers to use his power for childish antics and harassment rather than malicious evil.
Mxyzptlk is also protective of Superman because, in his opinion, Superman's generally serious demeanor makes him an exceptionally entertaining target.
Though the exact limits of Mr. Mxyzptlk's powers are unknown...
...his powers apparently dwarf other dimensional cosmic beings.
