A Wonderful Cast For "Tin Man" Mini

Actors Neal "Flags of Our Fathers" McDonough, Kathleen "Hollywoodland" Robertson and Raoul "Apocalypto" Trujillo have been added to the cast of SCI FI Channel's upcoming miniseries "Tin Man", a 'reimagining', based on author L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" series of novels, joining the Broadway musical "Wicked" as yet another major spin-off based on the author's public domain works.

Slated to start filming this month in Burnaby, complete with flying monkeys, the cast join will join Zooey Deschanel, Alan 'Nightcrawler' Cumming and Richard Dreyfuss.

Described as a "sometimes psychedelic, often twisted and always outrageous take on the book", "Tin Man" is the story of 'Dorothy Gale', aka 'DG' (Deschanel), a young woman plucked from her humdrum life and thrust into the 'Outer Zone', aka the 'OZ' realm of wonder and black magic.

"Tin Man" is executive produced by Robert Halmi Sr. and Robert Halmi Jr.

Co-writers Steven Long Mitchell and Craig Van Sickle also serve as executive producers.

Nick "Jason and the Argonauts" Willing directs.
